The accommodation platform offers to book a night at Castle Weissenstein, which serves as the royal residence in the Netflix series.

Who hasn't dreamed of following in Sissi's footsteps?

The biggest fans of Elisabeth of Wittelsbach could see their dream partly realized.

Since September 29, the Netflix platform has been broadcasting the series

L'Impératrice

, whose six episodes cover the first months of marriage between Sissi and François-Joseph I, and reveal behind the scenes of the Habsburg dynasty, almost seventy years later. cult films with Romy Schneider.

In the vein of this highly publicized release, Airbnb offers, in a press release released on October 12, to reserve a night at Château Weissenstein, where the Netflix production was filmed.

Located in Pommersfelden, not far from Nuremberg (in Bavaria), the monument is considered one of the jewels of Baroque architecture in Germany.

It houses many works by great artists, such as Van Dyck, Rubens, Titian and Brueghel.

In the series, the building holds an important place in the plot, since it serves as the royal residence of Sissi.

In fact, it is difficult to know if Elisabeth of Wittelsbach stayed there.

Nevertheless, the Weissenstein castle invites visitors to live an experience closer to the Empress of Austria, thanks in particular to one of its suites, completely refurbished in a style of the end of the 19th century, Sissi's flagship era.
