Assassination of Nafia Chaffa: detained for 5 years, an accused released after the confession of his brother

It is a coup de theater such as one rarely sees in an assize court.

This Monday, on the second day of the trial of two brothers for the assassination of the Algerian singer Nafia Chaffa - whose head and dismembered body had been discovered in December 2017 in the Bois de Boulogne - one of the accused, Mustapha Ait Ouaret, 55, confessed against all odds.

After five years spent wrongly accusing his brother, Salah Ait Ouaret, who appears detained alongside him.
