A dispute on the A555 in Cologne paralyzed the autobahn on Saturday.
Two families parked their cars on the hard shoulder - and attacked each other.
Cologne – The complete closure of a motorway is not uncommon, but closures due to a family dispute are.
But that's exactly what happened on Saturday afternoon, October 15, on the A555 near Cologne-Godorf.
The police had to block the motorway in the direction of Bonn for around one and a half hours - sometimes even completely, reports 24RHEIN.

Cologne: family dispute causes the A555 to be blocked – “parked their vehicles and attacked each other”
According to witnesses, two families are said to have attacked each other on the shoulder and lane after the driver (59) of a taxi and a BMW driver (32) braked and "honked" each other, according to the police.
“They parked their vehicles on the hard shoulder at the Godorf junction and attacked each other.
The respective occupants are said to have got out and hit and kicked each other.
"According to current knowledge, seven people suffered minor injuries," the police said.
"Because of the statements that one of those involved should have used a knife, the officers and a service dog searched the parked cars and the adjacent green area.
The police found a knife in one of the cars and secured it.” An 18-year-old and the taxi driver had to be taken to a hospital.

In addition to reports of dangerous bodily harm, coercion in road traffic, insult and threats, the officials informed the road traffic office about the incident.
The respective families were then escorted off the motorway to prevent a further altercation.
