Brussels-Sana
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization announced that the military forces of 14 NATO countries have started the annual "Steadfast Known" exercises in Northern and Western Europe.
And the Italian agency “AKI” quoted NATO as saying in a statement: “The exercises are taking place on the territory of Belgium;
This year's host country, in addition to the North Sea and Britain," she said, adding that 60 aircraft will participate in the "Steadfast Noon" exercises, including B-52 fighters coming from the North Dakota base.
According to the alliance's allegations, "the exercises are routine and are not linked to any current event and are not related to any of the current global events, and they contribute to maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the alliance's nuclear deterrence."
The alliance said on its website yesterday that the maneuvers will continue until the 30th of October.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently confirmed that bringing NATO forces into direct conflict with the Russian army is a very dangerous matter that could lead to a global catastrophe, pointing out that Russia is counting on the rationality of others not to take such steps.
