Damascus, SANA- As part of the activities of the Syrian Plastic Art Days 2022, the Ministry of Culture held an exhibition for twenty-four female artists

Within the activities of the Syrian Fine Art Days 2022, the Ministry of Culture held an exhibition for twenty-four plastic artists entitled “On the stairs of color there are traces of my steps” at the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa.

The exhibition was not satisfied with the idea of ​​different ideas, colors and materials used in it, but the varying ages of the participating artists and their experiences, which formed a bouquet of colorful roses with the most beautiful creations of Syrian women.

Director of the Cultural Center “Elsa Qasa” explained in a statement to SANA that the exhibition was held to encourage creative Syrian artists during the days of Syrian plastic art, to be an image that expresses what goes around in the secrets of women, and sheds light on their concerns and successes, which are among the controversial issues in society.

Despite her work as a member of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce Businesswomen’s Committee, the plastic artist Laila Al-Osta says: “The exhibition comes as an affirmation that Syria is a country of art and civilization, and that the intellectual renaissance is the aspect that highlights the development and progress of countries, and emphasizes the importance of the role of Syrian women in aspects of life. All, including plastic art.

She pointed out that she participated in three paintings with different techniques of roll, collage, oil colors and acrylic, and mocked them in the service of the topic that she touched on from the secrets of the human psyche that appeared after the war on Syria, and she dropped many masks.

Retired school and plastic artist Jihad Rajoub, who discovered her talent for painting at an advanced age, but she developed it by diligent research over decades and used it in teaching children in primary school grades. Based on colour, perspective and space, to match the feeling of an initial flash.

Plastic artist Naglaa Al-Daya, who left her own mark in the exhibition, directed her paintings to children after her experience in drawing for their books and stories.

The artist Massa Saeed, daughter of Tartous Governorate, expressed her happiness to participate with Syrian artists who have their own fingerprints in the Syrian plastic art.
