The daughter of a septuagenarian killed in Haguenau (Bas-Rhin) with several stab wounds and her companion have been indicted for her murder, with no apparent motive, we learned on Tuesday from the Strasbourg prosecutor's office.
"
As part of their police custody, the two women admitted to having gone to the victim's home with knives in order to kill him
," said Sébastien Pompey, deputy prosecutor.
Last Thursday in the middle of the day, the emergency services had discovered the body of the victim, a 73-year-old woman, physically diminished, larded with several stab wounds and with a plastic bag on her head.
The facts occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the victim having probably opened the door to his daughter and his daughter-in-law who did not have the keys to the apartment located in a residential area of Haguenau, a city of 35,000 inhabitants.

No trace of break-in was found.
As a couple, the two women, aged 33 for the victim's daughter, and 39 for her partner, had claimed their crime in the morning from a relative and had fled to the Bordeaux region.
The duo, with a proven psychiatric history, had been arrested the same afternoon, after "
excellent collaboration
" between the DZPJ (zonal direction of the judicial police) East, immediately seized by the Strasbourg prosecutor's office, and the DTPJ (direction territorial police) of Bordeaux.

Transferred to the Alsatian capital on Monday, the two women, considered co-authors of this assassination, were presented on Monday to an investigating judge who placed them in pre-trial detention.

," said Mr. Pompey.
An autopsy was to be performed Tuesday afternoon at the Strasbourg forensic institute.
