Because of Iranian weapons for Putin: Ukraine asks Israel for arms deliveries

In the Ukraine war, Russia is now supported by Iran.

The Ukrainian foreign minister is now turning to Israel and asking for weapons.

Kyiv – Iran is currently playing a major role in the Ukraine war.

The Islamic Republic is accused of supplying Russia with drones.

Kyiv has already reported that several Iranian-made drones have been deployed.

Both Iran and Russia have denied this. Kyiv, in turn, is now turning to Israel, Iran's archenemy.

Specifically, it should be about air defense systems: "Today Ukraine will send an official message to the government of Israel with a request to urgently equip Ukraine with air defense systems," Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told Ukrainian media on Tuesday.

Because of suspected Iranian drones: Kuleba calls for help from Israel

"If Israel's policy really is to consistently oppose Iran's destructive actions, then it is time for Israel to openly side with Ukraine," Kuleba said.

According to information from Kyiv, more than 70 people have been killed by drone and rocket attacks in the past week and a half.

Israel is largely holding back in Russia's nearly eight-month war of aggression against Ukraine so as not to jeopardize its relations with Moscow.

Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai recently demanded that, in view of the Iranian supplies to Russia, Israel must deviate from this position and also supply Ukraine with weapons.

However, this is not the official line so far.

Ukraine war: Iran denies arms sales to Russia

Interesting: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian denies supplying arms to Russia: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has not and will not supply arms in the Ukraine war." The supply of arms to either side would only prolong the war, it said further from Iranian government circles.

At the same time, however, the Pentagon confirmed the use of Iranian drones in Russian airstrikes.

The successful downing of Iranian drones by Ukraine was also reported.

Israel has already approved arms deliveries to Ukraine.

The Israeli journalist and politician Nachman Schai spoke out on Twitter for Israel's involvement in the Ukraine war.
