A sports bar in Düsseldorf-Flingern also operated an illegal casino.
The police found a well-hidden secret door.
Dusseldorf – During a routine check of a sports bar in Dusseldorf, the police discovered an illegal casino.
In a back room, hidden by a secret door, were several slot machines.
The emergency services also found drugs and cash, reports 24RHEIN.
Düsseldorf: Illegal casino discovered in Flingern
The police entered the sports bar on Bruchstrasse in Düsseldorf-Flingern on Friday evening around 6 p.m.
Actually, only a routine check by city employees and the police was planned.
But during the inspection, the noise of slot machines revealed that not everything is going right in this sports bar.
The emergency services followed the noise and came across a stack of empties, including beer and coke crates.
Behind the empties they discovered a camouflaged secret door that led to a back room.
There were eleven slot machines.
"A man was playing.
However, the other devices were also in operation," said the Düsseldorf police.

Düsseldorf-Flingern: illegal casino in a sports bar – drugs and cash confiscated
A judge ordered all rooms to be searched.
The forces found around 500 grams of cocaine, other drugs and drug paraphernalia and suspected drug money.
Several thousand euros in cash were also confiscated from the slot machines.
A 42-year-old employee of the sports bar was temporarily arrested, but was released at the weekend subject to conditions.
Meanwhile, the investigations continue.
"Illegal gambling and trafficking in large amounts of cocaine are being investigated," the police said.
