Kate Middleton not only wants to do her royal duties on her upcoming trip to the USA, but also bury the hatchet with Meghan Markle.

It would be what Queen Elizabeth and Diana would have wanted.

Boston / New York – When Prince Harry (38) and Meghan Markle (41) turned their backs on the British royal family, there was not only a huge media response, but also the relationship between Harry and his brother Prince William (40) and the two sisters-in-law suffered from it.

Kate Middleton (40) now wants to fix that away from the palace walls.

Initially, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle tried to be friendly.

After all, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex are in the same boat: both were commoners, both married into the British monarchy, both are watched closely by millions of people.

But since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer officially active royals, there has been more or less an ice age between the sisters-in-law.

Kate not only wants to visit the east coast there, but also makes a detour to Prince Harry (38) and Meghan.

The two are in New York at the time.

In her new book "The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown", author Kathie Nicholl now describes a situation that is said to have taken place between the recently deceased Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan Markle.

A palace insider told the author that Meghan Markle was convinced the royal kitchen staff put egg in her supposedly vegan dish - which led to an argument: "She got quite angry and said the dish was vegan and macrobiotic should, when suddenly the monarch walked in and started to lecture: 'Meghan, in this family we don't talk to people like that'".
