Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed the depth of relations between Russia and Syria in various fields, which have been strengthened and consolidated over the past years and reached high levels of bilateral cooperation at all levels, noting that the two countries have made important achievements as a result of this cooperation at the military, political, economic, cultural, parliamentary and popular levels. .
During his meeting today with Syria's ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Moscow, Lavrov noted the great workload that falls on the shoulders of the ambassadors of the two countries to coordinate these efforts and put them into practice.
Lavrov said: Russia will continue this supportive approach to Syria and its people until the restoration of security and stability in it, including providing the necessary aid to support Syria's steadfastness in the face of the economic blockade and the unjust sanctions imposed on it by the West.
Lavrov thanked Ambassador Haddad for his fruitful work in Moscow, praising the great role he played in deepening friendly relations and enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields.
For his part, Ambassador Haddad expressed his thanks to Minister Lavrov and the Russian Foreign Ministry staff for the good reception and for facilitating the success of his mission in Russia, once again expressing Syria's continued support for Russia in its special military operation in Ukraine aimed at correcting the international system to serve all the peoples of the world.
Haddad stressed the need to raise the level of Syrian-Russian cooperation, especially in the economic field, given that the two countries are facing the same economic war and the same tools.
