A 53-year-old man suspected of having killed his 73-year-old father with a knife on Monday evening in Lyon has been taken into police custody, concordant sources reported to AFP on Tuesday, October 18.
The homicide took place around 8:30 p.m. in an apartment in the 5th arrondissement.

," the departmental directorate of public security (DDSP) of the Rhône told AFP, confirming information from BFM Lyon.
According to the local news channel, the 50-year-old allegedly stabbed his father in the neck as he assaulted his mother.

The victim was indeed "
stabbed in the neck
", for his part specified the Lyon prosecutor's office, without however certifying the motivations of the murderer, who admitted "
immediately to be at the origin of the homicide
", while that the septuagenarian's wife and their daughter were present at the home.
The public prosecutor opened an investigation of the head of homicide on ascending and entrusted it to the Departmental Security of the Rhône.
