Because rock musician Udo Lindenberg showed the middle finger to the Hamburg AfD deputy, he reported it.
That could now be expensive for the new honorary citizen of the city.
Hamburg – It's been a month since panic rocker Udo Lindenberg gave the middle finger when he was made an honorary citizen of Hamburg.
It met - not entirely by chance - the vice-chairman of the AfD parliamentary group, Alexander Wolf.
He felt so offended by the gesture that he reported it.
A verdict on the matter is still pending, but judicial experts expect a high fine for the city's new honorary citizen, reports 24hamburg.de.

Udo Lindenberg does his thing: middle finger reaction to AfD character attack
It was actually a well-rounded event: Hamburg politicians had gathered in the town hall to award rock legend Udo Lindenberg honorary citizenship of the city of Hamburg.
For this, the parliamentary groups had to follow the recommendation of the Senate and agree to the official application.
Mandatory program - actually.
Because while the SPD, Greens, CDU and the left not only agreed, but also found many words of praise for Lindenberg in their speeches, the Hamburg AfD used the stage for a counterattack.
While AfD parliamentary group leader Alexander Wolf (small) at the lectern doubts the virtues of Udo Lindenberg, he shows him the middle finger.
The rocker's gesture at the beginning of September in the town hall could now have an expensive aftermath.

Not only did the AfD MPs present vote against the motion, parliamentary group leader Alexander Wolf publicly questioned the virtues of the German rock legend in his speech.
The deputy from the right-wing extremist party not only denounced Lindenberg's outspoken rejection of fascism, he also accused him of a lack of tolerance.
Lindenberg commented wordlessly, but meaningfully: with the outstretched middle finger.
AfD Group Vice Alexander Wolf shows Lindenberg – probably without thinking about it for long
AfD man Wolf sees this - probably not without reason - as an insult.
A few days after the citizenship meeting, he told the
t-online.de
portal that he had not planned to report Lindenberg's gesture for a long time so as not to overload the courts.
Only after several discussions and encouragement from friends did he decide to do so.
However, as the

now reports, an online complaint from Wolf against Udo Lindenberg was received the same evening after the citizenship meeting, which ultimately ended up with state security.
According to

information, the officials there have a similar opinion as the AfD Vice: Udo's middle finger is a public insult.

The case is now with the public prosecutor.
The law provides for a penalty of up to three years imprisonment and a fine.
However, honorary citizen Lindenberg will probably not go to jail.
Legal experts questioned by the

assume that the rocker will have to pay a fine.
Due to the special circumstances - prominence of the perpetrator and victim as well as Lindenberg's assumed assets - they consider it likely that the musician will have to pay at least 20,000 euros for his middle finger gesture.
