The Faculties of Science at Damascus University and Physics at the North Caucasus Federal University have signed an agreement to activate joint scientific cooperation and conduct research in the field of nanotechnology.
Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in presenting common topics for study at the level of graduation projects or master's and doctoral research, and joint supervision of their implementation, in addition to exchanging visits by faculty members of both parties.
Under the agreement, the Russian side also provides assistance in maintaining some equipment of the Faculty of Science at Damascus University, such as the electrical and magnetic measurements system under low temperatures in the Physics Department, and helping to complete the equipment of the nonlinear optics laboratory.
During its visit to the Faculty of Science at Damascus University, the Russian delegation was briefed on the nanophysics lab, the nonlinear optics lab, and the electrical and magnetic system lab.
