As the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is being held in Beijing, a Hong Kong survey on the country's overall development satisfaction over the past ten years shows that citizens are most satisfied with China's achievements in innovation and technology, economic development and national defense strength, with each ratio exceeding seven Only 55% were satisfied with the development of freedom and democracy, and the dissatisfaction rate was also the highest in all aspects.
The agency in charge of the investigation suggested that all walks of life hold a forum on the spirit of the 20th Congress, and invite experts to give more explanations to the public.

From October 12 to 17, the New Youth Forum successfully interviewed 441 Hong Kong citizens aged 18 or above with a random sample of audio calls to learn their evaluation of China's overall development in the past ten years, which is divided into economic development, defense diplomacy, innovation Nine aspects, including technology, democracy and the rule of law, and combating corruption, were evaluated by citizens. The data were weighted according to the gender and age distribution of the Census and Statistics Department.
Satisfaction of seven projects is more than 60%
According to the survey, seven of them achieved one-sided satisfaction, that is, more than 60% of the respondents were satisfied, including 78.9% of the respondents were satisfied with China's innovation and technology development in the past ten years, 76.4% of the respondents were satisfied with China's economic development in the past ten years, and 74% were satisfied with the development of China's economy in the past ten years. Regarding the achievements of the interviewees in improving their national defense capabilities, 67.9% of the respondents were satisfied with the fight against corruption, 66.1% were satisfied with the environmental protection, 64.3% were satisfied with the development of Wanyi's creative culture, and 63.4% were satisfied with Wanyi's participation in international affairs.

Liberal and democratic development and national rejuvenation are only more than half satisfied
The other two have mixed opinions.
Among them, 55.9% of the respondents expressed their opinions on the development of freedom and democracy in China in the past ten years, and 39.1% of them were dissatisfied. Among them, 24.4% said they were "very dissatisfied".
Deng Yongjun, the convener of the New Youth Forum, pointed out that nearly 40% of the respondents were dissatisfied with the tendency of liberal and democratic development in China in the past ten years, the highest rate among the nine items.
Regarding the opinion that "China is heading for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation", 55.6% of the respondents agreed, and 21% of the respondents said "I don't know/difficult to tell".
Chen Weiqiang, a consultant of the New Youth Forum and a lecturer at the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the Polytechnic University, said that this result may reflect that Hong Kong citizens are relatively unfamiliar with the discussion of the "great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation".
