Mindelheim/Unterallgäu – After Franz Josef Pschierer left the CSU at the end of September, the CSU faction in the district council demanded that Pschierer resign his mandate.

He had recently declared that he wanted to remain on the district council without a faction from now on.

The former Economics Minister has no thoughts of resigning, as he has now confirmed.

In the district council on Monday yesterday, the Pschierer personnel caused a stir again.

After the change from the CSU to the FDP, Pschierer said when asked that he would not join the SPD/FDP parliamentary group in the district council.

He had decided that by mutual agreement with the parliamentary group leader Roland Ahne (SPD) and will therefore act “independently” in the future.

Explosive: Pschierer's departure from the CSU changes the balance of power in the district council.

According to the proportional representation procedure laid down in the rules of procedure for the district council, the CSU loses seven seats in the committees, which each consist of twelve district councillors, in favor of the Greens.

Which CSU district councilor in which committee will be dismissed and who will take over the seat for the Greens was announced on Monday at the district council meeting in the forum.

The Greens are coming up

District Committee

: Lisa Steber (Greens) replaces Alfons Weber (CSU).

Building Committee:

Josef Doll (Greens) takes over the mandate from Otto Göppel (CSU).

Committee for Mobility, Local Transport and Transport

Networking: Helmut Scharpf (Greens) replaces Robert Sturm (CSU).

• Human Resources and Social Affairs Committee:

dr .

Doris Hofer (Greens) takes over the seat from Verena Winter (CSU).

• Committee on the Environment and Climate Protection

: Verena Winter (CSU) makes room for Andreas Blank (Greens).

Committee for Economy and Tourism:

Josef Doll (Greens) succeeds Michaela Bahle-Schmid (CSU).

Back to Pschierer: His former colleagues in the parliamentary group are critical of the fact that the Mindelheim resident will be sitting on the district council in the future: As CSU parliamentary group leader Andreas Tschugg explained in the run-up to the district council meeting, “the voters gave their vote to Pschierer as a CSU member and thus also to the party and not a non-attached district council”.

If the 66-year-old is now leaving the party, it is only logical to forgo the district council mandate.

This is the only way the will of the voters can be represented and respected, according to a press release from the CSU parliamentary group at the end of last week.

Furthermore, at the CSU parliamentary group meeting on Wednesday, the decision was unanimously taken to ask Pschierer to vacate his seat in the association meeting of the Zweckverband der Sparkasse Schwaben-Bodensee and his supervisory board post at Klinikverbund Allgäu GmbH.

However, the FDP member of the state parliament is not thinking of withdrawing: “It is the right of the CSU parliamentary group to demand this.

However, I feel primarily committed to the citizens and the district and will therefore carry out my mandates with commitment until the end of this legislative period," explains Pschierer when asked.

The Minister of State a.

D. also repeated at the most recent district council meeting.

"I see myself primarily as a representative of the Unterallgäu regional authority," says Pschierer, who takes the view

the citizens elected him as a personality and not as a CSU member.

He intends to continue to contribute to the district.

He received support from District Administrator Alex Eder: "In my opinion, you are a deserved member of this body."

Fierce exchange of blows

Andreas Tschugg saw things differently.

But then reason took over and Pschierer rowed back.

Tschugg thanked all district councillors, who now voluntarily and "without grumbling" vacated their seats on the committees.

The CSU chairman of the Unterallgäu district association, Martin Osterrieder, found clear words for Pschierer's behavior: "The showpiece that you pulled off in your self-chosen victim role is ridiculous." Party friends referred to as the "scheming barracks".

Pschierer should rather write down his own intrigues.

He could fill a big book with that, says Osterrieder.

Pschierer should vacate his seats on the supervisory board of the hospital group and in the association meeting of the savings bank out of decency alone.

Pschierer's commitment to the district has also been very manageable in recent years, said Osterrieder.

Pschierer didn't want to let that sit on him.

He was only absent from two district council meetings and carried out all mandates with great commitment.

Pschierer named the school renovations as milestones of his political commitment, for which he had sore feet and mobilized funds.

The clinic association and the savings bank merger are also among his achievements.

In addition, it is not uncommon to change parties.

Pschierer recalled the late district councilor Meinrad Bernhard, who at the time switched from the CSU to the Free Voters and also retained his mandate.

Here Osterrieder burst the collar.

Firstly, Pschierer was not uninvolved in Bernhard's change and secondly, the politician voted for the Free Voters in the district council

New party, new luck

Incidentally, while the tablecloth has been cut with the CSU, the FDP is looking forward to working with Franz Pschierer - also with regard to the state and district election campaigns next year, in which Pschierer will be actively involved, as will Bernhard Mohr, district chairman of the Liberals in the Lower Allgäu, explains: "This change is certainly a win for the FDP.

Franz Josef Pschierer can enrich our work, especially in the area of economic and financial policy.

As a former state secretary and economics minister, he still has an excellent network, especially in the area of medium-sized businesses," said Mohr when asked.

"Franz Josef Pschierer was actually the economics expert of the CSU and his departure leaves a big gap there.

Pschierer has already set up a jour fixe with Mohr, among others.

The Mindelheimer only wants to comment on his role and the upcoming tasks at the FDP in the next few weeks.
