The Danish police investigations of last month's sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines indicate that the breaks in these pipelines were due to "powerful explosions".

This damage caused methane gas leaks, even though both pipelines were not in use.

Now, as can be seen in the video that accompanies this news, aquatic images of the state of Nord Stream 1 on the bed of the Baltic Sea are shown for the first time.

Thanks to an underwater drone, you can see the complete rupture of part of the pipe.

Both gas pipelines, Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2, account for a total of four gas leaks: two in the exclusive economic zone dependent on Sweden and another two in Denmark.

All the investigations that have been carried out during these weeks confirm the hypothesis of sabotage, although no one points to culprits.

The Copenhagen police and the Danish intelligence services are collaborating with each other and plan to cooperate with authorities in Sweden, Germany and Norway in the near future.

A few days ago, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, opened an investigation to clarify the incident and "obtain complete clarity on the facts and why."

She on her Twitter account she wrote: "Any deliberate disruption of active European energy infrastructure is unacceptable and will lead to the strongest possible response."

Russia has protested that no expert from the country has been included in this investigation and will study the possibility of promoting a parallel study on the possible sabotage of the gas pipelines.

The Nord Stream 1, which was the main route for Russian gas to enter Germany, had been closed since the beginning of September.

While Russia claimed that it was due to a breakdown that it could not repair due to the economic sanctions it is suffering from the invasion of Ukraine, for the West, the closure of the pipeline was part of Russia's economic war against Europe in retaliation for these sanctions. .
