The horizon is clearing up for the staff of the South Ile-de-France Hospital Center (CHSF) in Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne).

Management has just announced the return to “close to normal” operation by the beginning of November.

The health establishment, which serves a catchment area of 600,000 inhabitants, has been working in degraded mode since the cyberattack it suffered on August 20.

Staff had to put computer tools aside and go back to pen and paper.

“By the end of the month, 80% of the IT solutions necessary for the operation of hospital services should be restored, assures the hospital.

The CHSF will be able to exercise the level of activity that it ensures in its health territory with nearly 6,000 hospital stays per month.

On average, we had about 230 days in the emergency room.

They were 200 on Tuesday.

Among the objectives set by the CHSF after the cyberattack is also the complete reconstruction of the computer system.

“This will be spread over the year 2023, warns Medhy Zeghouf.

We will have to switch our computer data to the new system, which will periodically disrupt the operation of the hospital.

The investigation, opened by the Paris prosecutor's office, is continuing.

At the beginning of October, 700,000 hospital patients were informed of the risks they faced following the dissemination of more than 11.7 GB of personal data on the “darknet”.
