Whether DHL, GLS or Hermes: the job of the parcel deliverer is tough.

In Munich, a customer complained about too much rubbish - and promptly received an answer.

Munich – Everyday work can be very stressful for parcel deliverers.

Countless orders on the slip and a short time window make the job not exactly a wellness program.

Despite the hard work, the deliverers occasionally have to take hearty criticism if they choose a strange storage location, for example.

Others even have to call the fire brigade after successful delivery.

Either way: the job of the deliverer is tough.

So it's no wonder that people treat themselves to a little break every now and then.

In Munich, however, that doesn't seem to have gone completely smoothly.

Munich: Do GLS parcel deliverers pollute nature during breaks?

"Clearly distance ourselves"

A customer reported directly to GLS via Facebook: "Hello GLS, think it's great that your drivers find time for a break." So far, so good.

But then the man describes the actual problem: "It is less optimal, however, if rubbish is spread in the middle of the forest and filled-in collection slips are scattered.

Maybe one of you would like to pick up the dirt when you get a chance?” The user then documents the whole thing with appropriate photos as evidence.

Where exactly the scenes took place is unclear.

Still clearly recognizable: lots of rubbish that doesn't belong anywhere, and certainly not in nature.

On the same day, public feedback from GLS showed full approval: "We're with you: it doesn't work at all if the action was intended by the person." no longer occurs.

To then underline: "We clearly distance ourselves from such behavior." With that, the GLS customer probably got the "desired" answer.

We can only hope that nature in Munich will be spared parcel waste in the future.
