The Russian Defense Ministry announced that more than 100 ships, submarines and support ships of the Russian Navy are now carrying out various missions in different parts of the world's oceans.
The TASS news agency quoted the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevminov, as saying today: "More than 100 ships, submarines and support ships are carrying out the tasks assigned to them in different regions of the world ocean."
Yevminov showed the war veterans some of the ships being built.
A group of Pacific Fleet ships, which included the Varyag missile cruiser, the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributes" and the tanker "Boris Potoma", completed their missions in the eastern Mediterranean recently.
