The sanctuary for reptiles in Munich was pleased to welcome high-ranking visitors: actor Fritz Karl stopped by – and posed for a photo.

Munich – The sanctuary for reptiles has been in the headlines more often than usual in recent days.

At the beginning of September, crocodiles had been rescued from an "underground" holding and taken to the sanctuary, and a week ago a live alligator was discovered in a suitcase at Munich Airport - animal keepers at the sanctuary were caring for it.

But now there is a nicer reason that flushes the employees into the news.

Actor Fritz Karl in the sanctuary for reptiles

"Happy Monday everyone," writes the sanctuary for reptiles on Facebook in a special post.

Because the introductory words are accompanied by a photo showing an employee of the animal care home – and the actor Fritz Karl.

The Austrian is known, among other things, for his role as Thomas Meiberger in the TV alpine thriller "Meiberger - in the head of the offender".

"The popular actor came by to get to know the station and get information about terraristics," the Facebook post explains.

And the employees admit with a wink: "If we're honest - we were a bit excited".

They also announce that Karl has adopted a sponsorship and say thank you for it.

Fritz Karl in the sanctuary – fans are happy

The fans on Facebook are over the moon about the photo.

Numerous heart emojis, laughing and happy smileys and words of praise can be found in the comments.

"That's cool," wrote one user, another user wrote: "Exemplary, he can't get better information".

There is also a lizard looking quite content in the photo - so it seems like a good combination for all sides.
