Russia's President imposes martial law in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia.
MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin has imposed martial law in the Russian-annexed Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine.
Putin announced the decision Wednesday at a televised meeting of the Russian Security Council.
According to a decree published by the Kremlin, the decision will come into force on Thursday.
