"Hartz and warm" - Dieter and Carmen's 13-year-old son has ADHD and stands out negatively in the classroom.

The parents are helpless.

A change of school should help:

The Benz barracks in Mannheim – You won't find a neighborhood like this anywhere else in Germany.

In the new season of the social documentary "Hartz und Herzen" viewers get an insight into how the residents of the former workers' settlement in Mannheim cope with little money but many problems.

In the past few months, Dieter and Carmen's concerns have often revolved around their second youngest son, Manuel.

MANNHEIM24 reports on this.

"Hartz and warmly" in Mannheim: Manuel throws chairs and stones - parents are at a loss

The 13-year-old boy caused problems at school: the "Hartz und cordial" offspring repeatedly clashed with the teachers.

Due to his ADHD, Manuel also didn't get along well with the material.

There was even friction with the bus driver of the school bus.

"Then he went to school and then the theater started with the teachers," reports Carmen in the new episode of "Hartz und Herzen".

Manuel tore up the papers of his classmates and threw chairs and stones.

"Then he once said he had to hit the teachers with sticks," reveals Papa Dieter in the 68th episode of the social documentary.

The couple was concerned about the escalation at school, and for a long time they pondered how to ease the situation.

"Hartz and cordial": Manuel is taken out of class - "only stress and trouble"

Manuel's aggressive behavior has serious consequences: The 13-year-old had to leave his previous class because the teacher "couldn't get along with Manuel anymore".

"The teacher said she rejected Manuel.

She doesn't teach him anymore," says Carmen about her son's problems.

The young Barackler then had to change classes: "Catapulted from the 5th to the 12th class".

Due to the big age difference to his classmates, Manuel didn't show up in the 12th grade either.

"Only stress and trouble with Manuel because he couldn't cope with everything anymore," says Carmen, summing up the problematic school days of her second youngest son.

Carmen had wished for school care for her son, but Manuel was denied the care.

While Dieter's and Carmen's offspring are having trouble at school, Elvis' son also has bad news to report: The "Hartz und Herzen" actor Martin has had his apprenticeship rejected.

"Hartz and cordial" in the Benz barracks: Manuel changes schools - and enjoys his lessons again

After all the problems, the restart at another school turned out to be a real stroke of luck: "I spoke to the teacher this week and he only said good things about Manuel," reveals Carmen, beaming with joy.

The 13-year-old follows all the rules at the new school and is easy to care for.

Music to parents' ears!

Her son's tantrums are finally over.

The teacher has a completely opposite impression of the 13-year-old Barackler and cannot understand what went wrong in the old school.

"It would have broken in the other school," Dieter explains the change of school in the social documentary.

It doesn't matter what the reason was: Carmen and Dieter are happy that their son is now feeling well again.

Manuel also thinks: "I like the new school better!" (sik)
