An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit Pazarcik district in the city of Kahramanmaras in southern Turkey today, but there were no reports of casualties or damage.
The Anadolu Agency, the spokesperson for the Turkish regime, quoted the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority as saying in a statement: "The tremor was at a depth of 8 km below the surface of the earth."
In turn, Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu confirmed in a statement that the tremor did not cause any material or human losses.
On the eighteenth of this October, two successive earthquakes, with a magnitude of 4.1 and 4 on the Richter scale, struck off the coast of Izmir province, overlooking the Aegean Sea, western Turkey, without announcing damage or injuries.
