The authorities of the Turkish regime closed the Dardanelles Strait in the province of Çanakkale to the movement of ships due to the prevailing weather conditions.
Turkish media reported that the Directorate of Maritime Navigation Services in the Dardanelles sent an appeal to all ships ready to enter the strait stating that it is closed in both directions due to the thick fog.
Ship captains were warned that the strait was closed to transit ships in two directions due to the difficulty of visibility.
