The Criminal Security Branch in Damascus countryside seized a large quantity of smuggled foreign medicines, and arrested the smugglers.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of that, after receiving information to the Criminal Security Branch in Damascus countryside about a person smuggling large quantities of medicines and promoting them in the city of Damascus, he was arrested on the highway (Damascus-Homs) and a quantity of three thousand and eight hundred ampoules was seized. “Needle”, originating from a foreign country.
The ministry explained that the arrested person was brought with the seized quantity to the branch center, where he admitted that he was smuggling and promoting foreign medicines through two other people, who were arrested in the Bab Musalla and Mezzeh localities.
The ministry pointed out that investigations are still ongoing.
