Shortly after closing a crossing near Jenin - shooting at another crossing in the area
Following the attempted shooting attacks at the Salem crossing and the outpost adjacent to it, it was decided to temporarily close it to the entry of Israeli Arabs, which is an economic blow to the city of Jenin.
Immediately after that, a shot was fired at the Jalma crossing, which is on the other side of the city.
A reopening of the crossing will be considered next week

A shot was fired this evening (Thursday) at the Jalma crossing near Jenin.
This, right after a decision was made to close the Salem crossing, which is located on one side of the city, to the entry of Israeli Arabs, which is an economic blow for the Palestinians.
The decision to close the Salem crossing was made following several attempted shooting attacks that happened recently against the checkpoint and the post next to it, the latest of which was today.
This, at the end of a security situation assessment held this evening by Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
Next week, a reopening of the crossing will be examined.

Recently, it seemed that the escalation in the Jenin area actually calmed down, and the tension was mainly felt in the Nablus area, where the "Lion's Den" group operates, and Jerusalem, where the attack occurred a week and a half ago in which Sergeant Noa Lazar was killed.
Yesterday, after a week and a half of hunting, the terrorist who carried out the attack at the Shuafat checkpoint, Udai Tamimi, was killed during another shooting attack he carried out at the entrance to Mount Adumim.
Tamimi arrived at the Temple Mount Road at the entrance to the settlement, shot at the security guards standing at the checkpoint, slightly wounding one of them, a 24-year-old young man. The security guards who were there opened fire at the terrorist, killing him.
The injured security guard was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
Tamimi apparently came from the Palestinian village of A-Azriya, which is across the road, to which he fled in the last days of the hunt.
He walked towards the checkpoint, aroused the suspicion of a passerby, then realized he was exposed and opened fire first.
