When Aharon lost his father Israel today

There are too many men on TV who don't understand what they are talking about • It's time to bring in such women as well, and I'm free

Last week, there was a slight earthquake on social media, when the stand-up comedian Tam Aharon was invited to the "Friday Studio" as a member of the panel.

Full disclosure: I know and like Tam, but this column will not be about him - it will be about me, because Tam has already accepted to appear in "Olan Shishi", and all I got was this shirt.

Many of the commentators wrote that Tam is not a journalist, which is just another step in the enrichment of the profession and the deterioration of "Olan Shishi" into an expanded edition of Guy Pines.

About that I have only one thing to say to all the news editors: I'm free on Friday night, and I look stunning in a suit.

Although I haven't sat on many panels, and I usually just clean them, but everyone agrees that there are far too many men on TV who don't understand what they're talking about, and that it's time to bring in women who don't understand what they're talking about.

And, God willing, I don't understand a lot of things, but as the readers of this column already know very well, that didn't stop me in the past.

A few things to keep in mind, if you're considering booking me:

I live in Tel Aviv, which means that the taxi won't cost you much money.

The colors that flatter me are orange, red and royal blue.

I can put on my own makeup, but I do need a face.

If you lack action, just put me next to another man who says "Mi-Too went too far".

And now seriously?

It is clear that from the point of view of the media, Tam Aharon became a more interesting figure as soon as he declared that he was no longer a leftist.

Obviously, for quite a few leftists, Tam Aaron "lost it", and I admit that I also had some jokes on the subject that are still kept in drafts on Twitter.

But it would be much more interesting to listen to the content of what was actually said, before informing everyone and ourselves that "everything is from the position".

The rightists shout that "the media is left-wing".

The leftists complain "stop giving them a platform".

Social networks have accustomed us to consuming content that is customized for us and includes only people we agree with anyway, or people who will annoy us to the point that we write an angry response.

We miss those with whom we agree on some issues and disagree on others.

We miss those who might challenge our perception and the opportunity to have a conversation.

From the short time I walked the halls of the Knesset, I learned that even those with whom I disagree on anything are human, and most humans are complex creatures.

The world was a much more interesting place before we painted everyone in black and white and turned them into millimeter-thick characters.

On this optimistic note, I would like to convey to Tam Aharon: Don't stop thinking.

And next time - a suit one size smaller, for God's sake, you're not 200 years old.
