Lot-et-Garonne: miners run into a police car, two officials injured

Four minors, aged 14 to 17, were arrested. They were driving a stolen vehicle.

During the night from Friday to Saturday, young people in a stolen vehicle deliberately drove into a police car in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in Lot-et-Garonne, reports

Two police officers were injured during the violent crash.

Shameless thugs

The incident took place around midnight.

A car reported as stolen was spotted by the gendarmerie and then chased by a surveillance platoon.

On the spot, police officers from Villeneuve-sur-Lot come to lend a hand to the gendarmes and try to block the road to the fleeing car at the level of a roundabout.

But the driver refused to stop and rammed into the police vehicle, as evidenced by the video shared on Twitter by the police union Synergie Officiers, which denounced the act as "

shameless thugs

".

cervical spine injury and thoracic contusions.

They were respectively prescribed two and ten days of temporary incapacity for work (ITT).

The fugitives, aged 14 to 17, were all arrested and then placed in police custody.
