Palestinians riot in the Har Huma neighborhood in East Jerusalem (according to Article 27 A on social networks)

Dozens of Palestinians clashed tonight (Saturday) with the security forces in several neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, including Tzur Bahar and Adi Joz and Tor.

North of Jerusalem, the Palestinians reported shooting at the Qalandiya checkpoint, where there were no casualties.

In the Har Huma neighborhood adjacent to the Tzur Bahar neighborhood, the houses of Jewish residents were attacked with stones by young Arabs who entered the neighborhood.

The escalation in riots in the city was felt about a week and a half ago, when clashes took place in the same areas, during which several people were injured, including police officers, and dozens of suspects were arrested.

Following the riots, it was decided in the security system to increase the forces for the weekends and the continuation of Sukkot, which lasts until the beginning of this week.

The riots come against the backdrop of the death of the terrorist Udai Tamimi, who was killed on Wednesday while carrying out another shooting attack at the entrance to Mount Adumim, in which a security guard was slightly injured.

He was neutralized a week and a half after a hunt for him, since he carried out the attack near Shuafat, where he killed the warrior Noa Lazar.

In order to catch him, the security forces imposed restrictions on Shuafat, which led local residents to strike and unrest in the area.

After the riots last week, Prime Minister Yair Lapid convened a discussion on the assessment of the situation in the integration of Internal Security Minister Amr Bar Lev.

"The events that took place are very serious, and the Israel Police acted resolutely to restore peace, and stood by it," said the minister.

"Contrary to various publications, the events were under the control of the police, the riots did not endanger the rest of the city and did not spread beyond East Jerusalem. The various holiday events are going on in the city as normal.

Against the background of the ongoing escalation in the territories and East Jerusalem, Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen said last week that "no We will accept the continuation of the situation" and that Ramallah will "examine relations with Israel".

At a regional summit in Kazakhstan where he was staying, he said that he would demand full membership in the United Nations and the convening of a peace summit. "We will not remain the only ones who adhere to the agreements with Israel," Abu Mazen said. ".
