Textiles have been on sale at Kraus-Eck for 380 years – the managing director took this anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate.
Erding - Numerous customers, but also representatives from politics and business congratulated.
The managing director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Manfred Gößl, presented an honorary certificate.
Change through marriage: Today's fashion house is born
It all started in 1642, when Georg Grienagl opened a sales warehouse for the flame craft that was flourishing at the time.
After that, the commercial building always came into the hands of the respective mayor.
A change that is still crucial today came in 1832, when the business passed to Max Kraus through marriage.
Old business books document the expansion of the procurement radius for fabrics and other goods across the entire German-speaking area.
The heyday of Erdinger Loden was over.

"The world has changed" - but the Kraus-Eck remained
In his speech, Kraus summed it up: “The world has changed at breakneck speed since Georg Grienagl, but clothing has always been sold at Kraus-Eck.
What is this unique consistency based on?” Presumably, according to the owner, because rapid growth or other fleeting values are never at stake here.
"The focus was always on human proportions, a keen sense of the time and close connections to the hometown, to customers and suppliers."
On behalf of the previous seven generations of his family, he thanked his predecessor and father Hermann Kraus, his employees and "all the people who have been filling the Kraus House with life for almost 400 years".
