A "
mini-tornado
" hit Conty on the evening of Sunday, October 23, near Amiens in the Somme, and a similar "
violent phenomenon
" struck dozens of houses and tore roofs off in Bihucourt, in the Pas- of Calais.

There was a mini-tornado in the Conty sector, with a lot of material damage, and a situation update is being carried out, but at this stage, no casualties
” are to be deplored, indicated the prefecture of the Somme.
The firefighters of Pas-de-Calais for their part report "
a big weather phenomenon located in the town of Bihucourt in particular
", but also "
the towns of Ervillers and Hendecourt-lès-Cagnicourt
" around 7 p.m.

We have around thirty interventions in progress, around forty houses impacted, some of which have had the roof torn off
”, they detailed, without using the word “
tornado
”.

There are no human victims
”, but only very significant material damage.

Many firefighters are on site to protect property

”.
The Somme and the Pas-de-Calais were placed on Sunday in yellow vigilance to thunderstorms by Météo France, while 20 other departments were on “
orange
” vigilance.
Météo France had warned of the risk "
of violent gusts of wind which can exceed 100 km / h, large hail and high intensities of precipitation
".
