Until recently, Emmanuel Macron had been heavily criticized for having told an unemployed person that all he had to do was
"cross the street"
to find work.
Today, it would be very difficult to reproach him for such an admonishment.
Unemployment has been for several decades the canker and the cancer of our societies.
For some time it has ceased to be a problem, due to the abstention of the actors: many jobs are to be filled and nobody wants them.
Employees are sought everywhere, and entire sectors are suffering and threatening to close for lack of manpower.
We lived in the second half of the 20th century a time of fiery development, which followed the post-war period.
Diligent and often exhausting work was required there.
We grew rich, we prospered.
Millennials are all different.
