To various musical worlds that roamed the East and the West, the Mosaic band took the Homs audience with it on the Silk Road, where it extracted from every country located on this road a piece of music presented by it professionally and technically that entertained the audience, during its participation in the 20th Musical Culture Festival held by the Artists Syndicate in Homs.
The band presented a group of Chinese, Iranian, Armenian, Pharaonic and Italian music, in addition to Arab heritage music from the Levant, the Nile and Mesopotamia, through the story of Aram, who set out from China through a road he called the Silk Road to learn about the music of all the countries that fall on this road.
The band's leader, Dr. Mario Boutros, told SANA reporter: We, as young people, hear a lot about the Silk Road and its importance, which prompted us to search for it and get to know it. every country.
Boutros added that the work is presented for the first time of its kind in Homs, and its preparation took about 6 months to reach the day of the ceremony, indicating the diversity of the pieces between Shiraz, Harem, Ugarit, Isis chant, Nile Valley Medley, Asia Minor, Anatolia, Mesopotamia, the Levant, and Zorba the Greek.
A number of young singers who performed songs in Italian, Indian, Turkish and Pharaonic languages expressed their happiness with this concert, which was attended by unparalleled attendance and encouragement, stressing the importance of the Artists Syndicate's embrace of them and providing all support and care to be one of the bands participating in this festival.
The artist Amin Roumieh, head of the branch of the Artists Syndicate in Homs, stressed the importance of the panoramic musical performance presented by the Mosaic Youth Ensemble from the far east to the far west, considering that what Mosaique youth presented is a new and beautiful musical style presented for the first time on the Homs theater.
