A fighter jet crashed into a house in Irkutsk, Siberia, on Sunday, local authorities said.

The plane crashed "during a training flight", causing a fire, the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, said on Telegram.

"Both pilots were killed," he said, adding "none of the local residents were injured."

“A Su-type plane fell on a two-storey house in Irkutsk,” adds the governor of this region.

According to the rescue services quoted by Russian news agencies, it is a Su-30 fighter jet that crashed during a training flight.
