This is the second fatal accident for the Russian Air Force, on its territory, in a week.
A fighter jet crashed into a house in Irkutsk, Siberia, on Sunday, local authorities said.
The plane crashed "during a training flight", causing a fire, the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, said on Telegram.
"Both pilots were killed," he said, adding "none of the local residents were injured."
“A Su-type plane fell on a two-storey house in Irkutsk,” adds the governor of this region.
According to the rescue services quoted by Russian news agencies, it is a Su-30 fighter jet that crashed during a training flight.

According to the local office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the aircraft crashed into a private two-storey wooden house, causing a fire on an area of 200 m2.
At least a dozen firefighters were pouring water on the house partially destroyed by flames, to bring the fire under control, according to a video posted on Telegram by Governor Kobzev.

"Fortunately, no one was in the house" at the time of the incident, welcomed the local branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
For its part, the Russian Investigation Committee, responsible for the main investigations in the country, announced the opening of an investigation for "violation of the rules of safety and operation of air transport".

This is the second such accident in a week in Russia.
Monday evening, already, at least fifteen people, including three children, lost their lives after a Russian military plane crashed in an inhabited district of Yeisk, in Russia, not far from Ukraine.

The MoD said the bomber pilots were able to eject.
It was a training flight according to the same source.
Investigators announced on Tuesday that they would favor the “technical fault” track.
Flight recorders were recovered from the crash site and fuel samples were taken from the airfield from which the Sukhoi 34 bomber took off, the Investigation Committee also said on Telegram.
“The plane hit the building during its fall, which spilled fuel.
But there was no explosion, because the windows of neighboring buildings were not affected, ”said Aleksandr Kourenkov, Russian Minister for Emergency Situations, quoted by BBC Russian.
