Al-Hasakah-SANA
The farmers of Al-Hasakah Governorate began harvesting the second batch of different areas cultivated with cotton, after the completion of harvesting the first batch, whose productivity amounted to more than 17 thousand tons.
The head of the Plant Production Department, Jalal Bilal, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the area of harvesting operations for the first batch amounted to 5,760 hectares, through which 17,280 tons of cotton were produced, noting that farmers are working to speed up the completion of the harvest operations completely with the beginning of the impact of the Maintaining rainy weather events that may affect cotton productivity and quality.
It is noteworthy that the total area planted with the cotton crop for the current season amounted to 5910 hectares.
