Marie Pism asked for a pardon from life imprisonment - and was refused
The mother who was convicted of murdering her daughter, Rose Pism, has been serving a life sentence since 2011. After 11 years in prison, she requested a reduction in her sentence.

Marie Pism, who was convicted of murdering her daughter Rose Pism in 2008, asked President Yitzhak Herzog for a pardon - and was refused.
The President accepted the opinion of Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar and the recommendation of the Special Parole Committee, according to which there is no reason to limit her sentence.
He noted that the decision was made "based on the totality of the circumstances as detailed in the various reports that were presented to her, including the fact that the danger in her case has not yet decreased."
Marie has been in prison for life since 2011, after being convicted of soliciting murder.
Three years later, the Supreme Court accepted the state's appeal against her, and aggravated the offense to murder.
Pizm is in prison under supervision, fearing that she will commit suicide.
As part of supervision, Pizm is in a cell that is constantly photographed by security cameras and supervised by guards.

The affair was revealed in August 2008, when it became clear that Rose's grandfather, Ronnie Ron, who was also the partner of her mother, Marie Pism, murdered the girl, who was four and a half years old.
Ron put her body in a red suitcase and threw it into Nahal Yarkon about three months earlier.
In June 2011, the district court in Petach Tikva sentenced Roni Ron and Marie Pizm to life imprisonment.
