If you bought a chicken recently, double check which product it is.
This Monday, the government platform RappelConso launched a major campaign to withdraw from sale several batches of free-range chickens for possible listeria contamination.
The poultry concerned were marketed in several large distribution chains.
The products targeted are "Éleveur de l'ouest" sold by Leclerc, "L'Etat du Poulier" chickens from Lild, "Corril" poultry from Aldi, "Leader Price" meat sold at Franprix and chickens "Everyday" from Casino.
All of these products have been on the market for a week or less.
And have an expiry date of up to the end of the first week of November.
As with each recall procedure, consumers are therefore called upon to no longer consume these products.
And to bring them back to the store where they bought the chickens in question to be reimbursed.
"People who have consumed the products mentioned and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and aches, are invited to consult their doctor",
indicates Rappel Conso, specifying that the incubation period of the listeria can last up to 8 weeks.
