Bad Tölz – The town hall regularly gives progress reports on the current construction projects in Bad Tölz.
At the most recent meeting of the building committee, master builder Florian Ernst also addressed the city's current problem child: the Jahnschul extension.

Due to a serious lack of construction on the roof seal - the company that won the tender with the cheapest offer does not come from the region - the schedule got really messed up.
At least, Ernst rejoiced, thanks to municipal efforts, the gym was able to go into operation when school started.
The rehearsal room of the town band should also be ready by the end of October and the long-awaited move from the Alte Madlschule should be possible.
One hopes, said town hall spokeswoman Birte Otterbach, that "there will be no more delays in the final expansion".

City Hall expects litigation
An emergency roof is also to be put on “as quickly as possible” in order to get the building through the winter safely.
A schedule, so Otterbach when asked, could not be mentioned.
The building committee was now primarily concerned with the settlement of claims and the question of who would pay for all of this.
That seems certain: it will result in a lawsuit.
Mayor terminated contract with affected company
“Not very constructive” is what Florian Ernst called communication with the company in general.
As is its duty, the city has also given the affected company the opportunity to rectify the situation.
The latter, however, neither submitted a concept within the usual deadlines nor eliminated the deficiencies.
A few days ago, Mayor Ingo Mehner terminated the contract with her.

Mehner explained: "But we can't just take someone who is good.

“How much have we already paid?” Martin Harrer (FWG) asked.
"Too much" exclaimed city master builder Forian Ernst angrily.
The mayor felt compelled to classify the statement: "We paid what we had to pay in advance."
Deficiency was only noticed shortly before completion
The fact that water was penetrating was only discovered shortly before the construction was completed.
Now you have to get the money back.
The company concerned is reportedly also insured against insolvency.

Unfortunately, it will probably come to the point where a fourth grader will leave school next year without ever having experienced a school without a construction site.
