The party affirms that there was no summoned list, but after the commotion it formally invites the former vice president and other socialist leaders

The event for the 40th anniversary of the PSOE's first victory in general elections has run into some unexpected turmoil.

Alfonso Guerra, vice president of the Government from 1982 to 1991, deputy general secretary of the PSOE between 1979 and 1997, and three decades a deputy for Seville in Congress, regretted this Tuesday that he had not been invited to Saturday's event in the Andalusian capital in which the socialists will claim the first victory of Felipe González and the meaning and example to follow that that first progressive Executive had for the modernization of Spain since the restoration of democracy.

"They haven't invited me, surely it's because I wasn't in the leadership of the party, they'll see it that way and they're consistent with that vision," Guerra said ironically.

Part of the collective imagination from the iconic image with González on the night of the victory on October 28, 1982 at the Palace Hotel, has added that he would assume it with "epicurean philosophy".

Fuentes de Ferraz regret what they consider "a misunderstanding" and convey that there is no guest list for the event open to the public this weekend in Seville, which is intended to bring together 3,000 people.

“The offenses do not depend on the one who makes them, but on the one who receives them, and I do not receive any offense for that.

That I wasn't there 40 years ago?

Great, there would be others”, said Guerra in an interview on Canal Sur Radio.

When asked what he would do if he received an invitation, he has implied that he would not attend: "I would say that things are already a little late."

Responsible for the Andalusian PSOE transfer that after the commotion that has originated they have communicated with Guerra and other referents of socialism to formally invite them to the act in four days, which will feature speeches by González and Pedro Sánchez.

On Monday afternoon, the other components of the electoral list for the province of Seville began to be called in the general elections 40 years ago, they add in the Andalusian PSOE federation.

"Everybody is invited for sure, and Guerra will have a prevalent place", the sources consulted from the Andalusian federation wanted to settle the crisis.

Former Andalusian presidents such as Susana Díaz or José Rodríguez de la Borbolla have also been invited.

The cadres consulted state that right now the work of the organization of the PSOE-A and the PSOE of Seville was focused on achieving an important mobilization on a weekend that coincides with a bank holiday, and that protocol issues were going to be left for the following days.

Guerra did not attend the PSOE's 40th Federal Congress last year in Valencia.

Former President González did attend and intervened in an act that led to the reconciliation of the entire party after the 2016 crisis between supporters and opponents of facilitating the investiture of Mariano Rajoy.
