Coach sentenced to one year in prison for sexual assault and fraud

The Paris Criminal Court sentenced a business coach to three years in prison on Tuesday, October 25, including two years suspended probation, for sexual assault and fraud.

Founder in 2009 of the Peauzdétente space specializing in professional support, Mathieu J., 45, offered between 2014 and 2017 to his clientele, mostly women, sessions based on hypnosis.

According to the prosecution, these sessions then turned to personal development and tantrism, a practice from the Hindu religion combining yoga and sexuality.

", especially in the crotch, said during the trial one of his victims, aged 33, who described digital penetration.

Mathieu J. had denied his version of the facts by evoking a consensual sexual relationship.

The court found him guilty of sexual assault on ten plaintiffs and acquitted on five of them.

The ex-coach was also sentenced for fraud to the detriment of twenty-six clients and fraudulent maneuvers, particularly in view of the methods of recruiting prospects and pseudo-certifications.

Partner of Mathieu J., Dounia O., 42, was sentenced to eighteen months in prison suspended, a sentence in accordance with the requisitions for acts of fraud and fraudulent maneuvers.

Their lawyers had pleaded for the release of all proceedings.
