President of the United States Joe Biden yesterday (Monday) wished his deputy Kamala Harris a happy birthday, and called her a "great president" by mistake or jokingly.
"Happy birthday to a great president, we know your mom is always with you," Biden said, marking Harris' Oct. 20 birthday.
The comment was made during an event marking the Hindu festival of Diwali at the White House.
The president also joked that Harris was turning 30 - the vice president is 58. The White House responded by saying that Harris was simply on the president's mind.
Throughout India they celebrate for five days in October or November, the return from exile of the Hindu god "Rama" and the victory of the forces of good over the forces of evil.

The embarrassing mistake joins a series of mistakes by the president.
At a convention held in September, Biden searched for a congresswoman and asked aloud where she was - about two months after she was killed in a car accident.
Biden thanked the convention organizers and then asked, "Jackie, are you here? Where's Jackie?", referring to Congresswoman Jackie Walorsky.

He also called her that in March 2021.
