A fatal accident occurred on the A6 in the Upper Palatinate.
A young man died on the spot, the highway was closed for a long time.
Nabburg – A serious accident occurred in the Upper Palatinate on Monday, October 24, around 9:30 p.m.
According to

, a Czech pickup truck drove into a semi-trailer truck in front of it.

The accident happened on the A6 motorway between the Schmidgaden and Nabburg West junctions in the direction of Waidhaus.
A trailer truck with Hungarian registration was driving in the right lane when the Mercedes van hit the trailer for reasons that are still unknown.
The two occupants of the Mercedes were trapped in the driver's cab.

, the driver (28) had to be freed
from the severely deformed vehicle, just like his passenger (23).
The injuries to the two were so severe that the freeway was closed on both sides to allow two rescue helicopters to land.

The driver was flown to a clinic after receiving first aid at the scene of the accident.

his injuries at the scene of the accident despite resuscitation.
The driver of the semitrailer (51) was unharmed in the accident.
Due to the unexplained cause of the accident, an expert was appointed by the public prosecutor's office.
The motorway was closed in the direction of the Czech Republic until the early hours of the morning.
The property damage probably amounts to around 15,000 euros.
