The popular messaging app WhatsApp has stopped working for many users around the world, with subscribers from India, the UK, South Africa, Asia and other regions reporting issues with sending and receiving texts and videos.
Reuters quoted the “Downdetectors” website, which specializes in monitoring the work of applications, as saying: “Complaints about the work of the application increased significantly by users around the world this morning, as more than 11,000 users across India reported service outages, while the Complaint numbers amounted to 68 thousand complaints in Britain, 19 thousand in Singapore, 183 thousand in Germany, about 9 thousand in Indonesia, 9540 in France, and about 3.5 thousand complaints from users in the United States.
In turn, a spokesman for the parent company that owns the application, "Meta Platform", said: "We are aware that some people are currently having trouble sending and receiving messages, and we are working to restore the application to everyone as soon as possible."
