Yan Oi Tong announced today (25th) a number of services to provide appropriate support to people from different walks of life.
Among them, in response to the increasing demand for social housing, Yan Oi Tong built 410 transitional housing units "Yen Oi Ju" in Hung Shui Kiu, with an area of about 130 to 280 square feet, equipped with a "kitchen" and "open toilet", and the rent ranged from 2,000 To 3,700 yuan, the leasing will start on November 1, and the deadline will be December 15. It is expected to be occupied in April and May next year, and people who have been waiting for public housing for three years or more will apply.
"Ren Ai Ju" was approved by the Town Planning Board last year, and was supported by the then Transport and Housing Bureau with an allocation of 220 million yuan.
The project covers an area of about 5,339 square meters and is constructed by the "assembly method". It is expected to improve the quality of life for about 1,500 people during the 4-year operation period, including subdivided households and grassroots families living in inappropriate housing.
"Ren Ai Ju" is the URA's first transitional housing project to participate in the planning and design. It will provide 410 transitional housing units upon completion. The URA is striving to complete the project within one year.
