200,000 people left in the dark in North Austin by a possible tornado

About 200,000 customers in Texas are without power as severe weather—and a possible tornado—moves through the region, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.com.

"A possible tornado was reported about 5 km south of Jarrell," Williamson County Emergency Services said in an overnight post.

Jarrell is a small town in Williamson County, Texas, and is about 40 miles from Austin.

Damaging wind gusts were forecast for parts of Texas Monday night, with the potential for isolated tornadoes over East Texas and neighboring states, CNN reported.

The slight risk of severe storms is moving east Tuesday, covering most of Mississippi, eastern and central Alabama, southwestern Tennessee and small parts of eastern Louisiana and Arkansas, CNN reported.

Teacher identified as fatal victim in St. Louis school shooting

Jean Kuczka, a teacher at Central Performing and Visual Arts High School, was identified as one of the victims in the St. Louis school shooting, according to her daughter.

The teacher was 61 years old.

Kucza was one of two victims who died in the school shooting on Monday.

The suspected attacker was also killed, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Commissioner Lt. Col. Michael Sack.

Sack said the shooter and an adult female were pronounced dead at a local hospital and another teenage female was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A total of 8 victims were taken to an area hospital, according to Sack.

Kuczka was a health and physical education teacher at the school, according to her biography on the school's website.

Her classroom was on the third floor, where authorities said they confronted the shooter.

His daughter, Abigail Kuczka, sent a statement to CNN on Monday night:

“Jean was passionate about making a difference and enjoyed spending time with her family,” the statement says.

"Jean hoped to retire in the next few years."

In her biography on the school's website, Kuzcka said she couldn't imagine herself doing anything other than teaching.

Ever since she taught swim lessons at the YMCA in high school, she knew she wanted to be a teacher.

"I believe that every child is a unique human being and deserves the opportunity to learn," she wrote.

Kuzcka has taught at the school since 2008. She leaves behind her husband, Steve, and five children.

"Jean enjoyed advocating to raise money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, as my brother Joe was diagnosed when he was 10 years old," Abigail Kuczka's statement reads.

In the photos, Jean is seen wearing cycling gear as she participated in the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes, a charity cycling event to raise funds to research a cure for diabetes.

At least 5 dead after Israeli attack in Nablus in the West Bank

At least 4 Palestinians were killed in the old city of Nablus in the West Bank following an Israeli military operation, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

A fifth person was killed in Nabi Saleh, north of Ramallah, by Israeli live fire, according to the ministry, as Palestinian protesters took to the streets in response to the Nablus military operation.

Six people found dead in Wisconsin fire had gunshot wounds, police chief says
