The chairman of the state camp, Benny Gantz, commented today (Wednesday) on the addition of Itamar Ben Gabir to the future government, saying that "extreme statements" are not good for the State of Israel. "When I meet with international officials I try to remain an Israeli state, internal politics should not be the business of any external government, and I think that dragging us to extreme places will not serve the country."

In the interview, he was asked why he rules out the possibility of joining the government, if Netanyahu obtains 61 mandates.

He answered that in the past he acted in this way "during the most difficult period of the State of Israel, during the Corona period. I went against what I wanted to do, but this was a once-in-a-decade reality."

According to him, "It won't happen again, you finished the political credit I could give to Netanyahu."

He clarified that he will not join Netanyahu's bloc.
