The President of the Magistrates' Courts in the Southern District, Alon Gavizon, announced today (Wednesday) his intention to go on a three-month sabbatical starting November 20, due to the differences of opinion in the Southern District and out of concern for the benefit of the system and the district, as well as personal and family matters.
The source of the cave in detail told Walla that the background to the departure are complaints received from judges in the courts in the south about his behavior which they define as riotous.
Another source stated that some of the deputies made similar claims regarding his management style, and several meetings were held to clarify the issue, after which he made the announcement.
Following Gavizon's announcement of his departure, the Minister of Justice, with the consent of the President of the Supreme Court, appointed the Vice President of the Central Lod District Court, Judge Yaakov Shapser, as a replacement for a period of three months.
Shepasser previously served in the Peace Court and the District Court in the Southern District.

They also thanked Judge Shepser for his willingness to hire them for the position of acting president for this period "in order to return to order the work routine in the district".
