Lucky guy from Upper Bavaria: A senior won over one million euros in the lottery.
The first thing he wants to do with the money is a “long-distance trip”.
Munich – The draw that made a 77-year-old from Upper Bavaria a millionaire overnight was a few weeks ago.
In the Saturday draw on October 1, the pensioner ticked the winning numbers 1,3,19,37,43 and 49 within a betting field in the 6aus49 game, as announced by Lotto Bayern.
Only the drawn super number 0 was missing from his game order.
With the six correct ones, he still won the impressive sum of 1,031,692.10 euros.
Upper Bavarian wins a million in the lottery: man celebrates win “first with a beer”
He introduced himself to the state lottery and casino administration as the winner with the words "happiness is a beast and has no equal".
The senior had spent 2.90 euros including a processing fee for his tip worth millions.
When asked about his recipe for success, the 77-year-old stated that he did not use any particular strategy.
"I only fill out two betting fields per draw and always tick different numbers." The seven-digit win was therefore all the more surprising for him.
According to Lotto Bayern, the man celebrated the whole thing “first with a beer”.
He wants to take his time to think about what he plans to do with the money as a newly crowned millionaire.
The 77-year-old lives alone.
He could well imagine “a long-distance trip” as a first investment.
However, he does not reveal where the journey should go.
