Garmisch-Partenkirchen – A 21-year-old Ukrainian woman was found by neighbors on Tuesday morning, October 25.

She was lying in the driveway of an apartment building in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with life-threatening injuries (we reported).

The perpetrator had fled undetected on his silver-colored bicycle.

Shortly thereafter, at 8.45 a.m., a young man appeared at the mountain station of the Alpspitzbahn on the Osterfelderkopf.

"He must have gone up in the first gondola and seemed nervous," reports Gertrud Trieb, who was serving in the Alpspitz restaurant.

"First he wanted coffee and something sweet, but then he wanted something savory," she recalls.

Trieb found that strange.

"There was only bratwurst and fries, but he was satisfied with that."

The host Andrew Syme reports: "He sat in the last corner and tried not to look in the direction of other guests." Then the stranger disappeared - until he returned around 3 p.m.

"He ordered bratwurst with fries again," Trieb recalls.

"We found it funny at first, but thought he just liked the bratwurst." The man disappeared again.

The workforce finished work at 5 p.m. and took the gondola down to the valley.

"Then I saw the mugshot on the Internet that was used to search for the man," says Syme.

"I immediately called the police and guided them to the summit."

The officers flew up the mountain in a helicopter, vehicles followed.

"Finally they found the man who was hiding and wrapped up in the ceiling of our terrace." The suspect was arrested and an arrest warrant for attempted murder was issued yesterday afternoon.

It is the Jordanian Shadi B., who is said to have fled Ukraine with the victim.

The young woman, who lived in a refugee camp, is being treated in a clinic.

She is still in mortal danger, reports a spokesman for the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South.
