Schliersee – An alpine pasture on the Untere First (Schliersee) is to be catered for.

The market community says yes, the final decision lies with the district office.

Almbauer Leonhard Markhauser from Fischhausen would like to have his agriculturally operated alpine pasture on the Untere First in the Spitzingsee area served by the dairymaid during the summer months during the uplift period.

The Schliersee building committee agreed at the most recent meeting.

The final decision lies with the district office of Miesbach.

"Normally, the usual hospitality of up to ten guests does not require approval," says farmer and CSU local councilor Leonhard Markhauser from Anderlbauernhof when asked.

But he would like to put the project with the district office and health department with 32 to 40 places, additional storage and toilet on a legally secure footing.

"If more than ten guests come," he explains and emphasizes: "We will not offer roast pork."

No opening hours

The catering should be carried out by the dairymaid with products from her own production.

There will be no opening times.

"If the dairymaid is with the critters, then there is nothing," he explains.

There will be no indoor seats, driving permits or evening events.

His Alm is located on the Untere First very close to the “Unteren Firstalm” which is run with restaurants.

Mayor Schnitzenbaumer emphasizes the point "no evening events"

His application was dealt with at the most recent building committee meeting in Schliersee.

For Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer it is important that the point "no evening events" is included in the building permit in order not to create a precedent.

"And farming has to be the main component, hospitality a secondary one," he said.

The mayor explained that the project was not entirely unproblematic, as there are still a few uncultivated alpine pastures in Schliersee.

"I'm thinking, for example, of the six Valepper Almen," he said.

"That would change the character of the area there," says Schnitzenbaumer.

He has the information that such changes in use are only approved in exceptional cases if it is necessary to provide for hikers.

"That's not the case here," he said.

"We know that the Alm is very important to Hartl," emphasized Gerhard Waas (Greens).

Only recently at "Ten Years of Mangfallgebirge Area Management" was Markhauser singled out for his alpine care.

The building committee endorses Markhauser's application and the usual hospitality at the Untere First.

The final decision now lies with the district office of Miesbach.
